Global insurance brokerage Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired R.J. Riordan & Co. based in Oakbrook, Illinois for an undisclosed price.

R.J. Riordan & Co. is a retail property and casualty broker. The company provides a variety of insurance products and services to clients in the Chicago region.

Its team is said to cater to clients in the construction and transportation sectors. They will be transferred to the retail brokerage operations of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and will report to J. Ryan Isaacs, head of the global insurance brokerage’s retail property/casualty brokerage operations in the Midwest region.
