Appian and Amazon Web Services forge collaboration to enhance AI in business processes
Appian (Nasdaq: APPN) has entered a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to make generative artificial intelligence (AI) more accessible to enterprise business processes. This significant collaboration aims to integrate Appian’s advanced AI capabilities and data fabric with the powerful large language models (LLMs) offered by Amazon Bedrock and machine learning tools from Amazon SageMaker.
Appian plans to deploy substantial resources to explore innovative ways to blend its native AI functions with Amazon’s AI technologies. Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service, provides access to foundational models from top AI firms via a single API, ensuring the security, privacy, and responsible use of AI. Amazon SageMaker offers comprehensive tools for building, training, and deploying ML models across various applications, all within a managed environment.
One of the critical aspects of this partnership is Appian’s commitment to a private AI approach, which allows enterprises to maintain control over their data and prevent its use in training publicly accessible models. This initiative addresses the urgent needs of industries that operate under strict regulations and require high security for their data.
