Amwins acquires Maryland-based general agent M.T. Donahoe & Associates
Amwins, a US-based specialty insurance products and services distributor, has acquired CBIZ M.T. Donahoe & Associates (MTDA), a Maryland-based general agent, which specializes in employee and individual benefits and services.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Michael Donahoe, Jr., who is the president of M.T. Donahoe & Associates, will join Amwins Connect’s leadership team.

M.T. Donahoe & Associates will join the group benefits unit of Amwins to further complement the services of Amwins Connect Administrators.
Last month, Amwins signed a deal to acquire Equisure, a provider of insurance for equine and canine risks.
