Amazon to acquire mesh WiFi system provider eero
Amazon acquisition of eero : E-commerce giant Amazon has agreed to acquire mesh WiFi system provider eero for an undisclosed price.
Eero replaces the traditional router and blankets the whole home in fast, reliable WiFi by using the concept of mesh networking. Through this concept, an eero mesh wifi system eliminates coverage issues and dead zones that are otherwise faced by traditional routers.
Instead of a single router device, multiple access points are used to blanket an entire home with a strong Wi-FI signal. Customers can tailor an Eero system to suit the needs of their homes, ensuring perfect streaming video in every room, and delivering the bandwidth all connected devices need.
Through, the easy-to-use eero app, customers can easily set up the system in less than 10 minutes, share their network, program parental controls and also run speed tests on demand. Also, eero communicates with the cloud to get instructions and updates which mean eero systems are self-updating, self-fixing and improving on their own all the time.
