Ltd (ARACT), a subsidiary of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Ltd (ARE&M), has forged a significant partnership by signing a technical licensing agreement with GIB EnergyX Slovakia s.r.o., linked to Gotion High-Tech Co Ltd. This move is poised to enhance their capabilities in the rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) sector in India, backed by a hefty of Rs 9,500 crores.

The agreement grants ARACT access to Gotion’s leading Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) , pivotal for manufacturing high-quality lithium-ion cells. These cells will be produced in both cylindrical and prismatic forms. The partnership encompasses a comprehensive technology transfer, integrating ARACT into Gotion’s global supply chain and offering extensive support in setting up a state-of-the-art Gigafactory. This strategic collaboration extends to operational and customer support, ensuring ARACT’s alignment with cutting-edge manufacturing standards and process technologies.

The establishment of the in Telangana, India, underscores the company’s commitment to maintaining competitiveness through continuous technological enhancements. Both Amara Raja and Gotion are shareholders in InoBat, a dynamic entity in Slovakia focused on advanced lithium battery technology applications, including electric aviation.
