Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility and MG Motor India forge partnership to boost EV charging infrastructure

In a significant move to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in India, Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL), a subsidiary of Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), and MG Motor India have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to develop advanced charging solutions and value-added services for EV customers nationwide, underscoring the rapid evolution of India’s EV landscape and the push towards a robust charging infrastructure.

As part of the MoU, ATEL will deploy CC2 60 kW DC chargers at upcoming MG dealerships to improve the charging network and customer accessibility. This initiative is designed to provide a comprehensive solution that includes supply, installation, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of the charging stations. Furthermore, the partnership plans to launch a digital platform to offer a seamless customer experience, facilitating easy access to charging services including discovery, user authentication, charging processes, and billing settlement via a dedicated mobile application.

This effort will contribute towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting a cleaner and greener environment,” said Mangalani.

This strategic partnership also explores the integration of public charging stations across platforms using advanced application programming interfaces (APIs), enhancing network visibility and accessibility. This initiative is expected to offer increased accessibility to the PCS Network and a seamless experience for users.

Additionally, the collaboration will improve customer experience with RFID solutions accessible to MG users at strategic locations within ATEL’s public charging network, including airports. MG users will benefit from preferential discount offerings through RFID cards provided by ATEL under bulk purchase arrangements.
