Adani Enterprises subsidiary wins two coal projects in Chhattisgarh

Adani Enterprises Limited said that its fully-owned subsidiary — CG Natural Resources Private Limited (CGNRPL) had recently taken part in a tender invited by the Indian Ministry of Coal, and had been declared as the successful bidder for two coal projects in Chhattisgarh.

CG Natural Resources has won the Jhigador and the Khargaon coal blocks, both located in the Bisrampur coalfield, which is considered to be among the largest coal reserves in India.

According to Adani Enterprises, the total geological resources of the Jhigador and the Khargaon coal blocks are 250 million tonnes (MT) each in total geological resources.

The Nominated Authority, Ministry of Coal had launched an auction process for 67 coal mines for sale on 25 March 2021.

In May 2021, Adani Enterprises had incorporated a fully-owned subsidiary called Mahanadi Mines and Minerals Private Limited (MMMPL) for owning, developing, and operating mines of various minerals.
