Accenture buys Brazilian cybersecurity company Morphus
Accenture has acquired Morphus, a privately held Brazil-based cybersecurity company in an effort to expand its cybersecurity footprint in Latin America.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed by the professional services company.
With the acquisition, Accenture anticipates to add new offerings to the company’s portfolio, expanding its presence in growth markets in Morphus’ primary industry groups which include communications media and technology, energy, financial services, aviation, and retail.
In addition, the acquisition marks the launch of a Cyber Industry practice in Latin America by Accenture.
Furthermore, Accenture will acquire Morphus Labs, a research facility, and a new Cyber Fusion Center in Fortaleza as part of the acquisition.
Founded in 2003, Morphus provides cyber defense, cyber threat intelligence, and risk management services.

“The acquisition complements our global Security practice and will enable us to help our clients embed security by design and enhance the offerings we provide across a wide variety of industries in Latin America.”
Morphus’ end-to-end portfolio includes red and blue team services, risk, governance, and compliance services, cyber strategy, enterprise risk management, managed security, and threat intelligence services.
The Fortaleza- headquartered Morphus has offices in Recife, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Santiago, Chile.

Accenture acquired Brazil-based Real Protect and European cyber companies Sentor and Openminded in 2021 to strengthen its cyber defense and managed security services capabilities.
Accenture Security offers end-to-end cybersecurity services, including applied cybersecurity solutions, advanced cyber defense, and managed security operations.
