Canada Life Reinsurance signs €4.7bn longevity deal with Athora Netherlands

Canada Life Reinsurance said that it has signed a long-term longevity reinsurance deal with Athora Netherlands that covers €4.7 billion of in-force liabilities and 104,500 in-payment and deferred policies.

Athora Netherlands is the Dutch subsidiary of European insurance and reinsurance group Athora.

Jeff Poulin – Global Head of Canada Life Reinsurance said: “We are pleased to build and grow our relationship with Athora Netherlands with this major reinsurance agreement.
