Future Media acquires Australian watchmaking company Oak & Jackal

Future Media, a California-based digital marketing company, has forayed into the direct-to-consumer market by acquiring Oak & Jackal, an Australian watchmaking company, for an undisclosed price.

The acquisitions marks the first for Future Media in consumer sales.

Commenting on Future Media acquisition of Oak & Jackal, Chase Wimberly – co-founder of Future Media, said: “We are always looking for opportunities and companies that will provide synergistic growth avenues for Future Media.

“Getting into the growing direct-to-consumer market via an established brand like Oak & Jackal allows us to diversify our offerings in ways that amplify our strengths.”

Originally funded on Kickstarter crowdsourcing platform in June 2016, Oak & Jackal, is said to have grown steadily in the last three years. Recently, the Australian watchmaking company expanded to sell eyewear and wallets apart from its timepieces.

Duquan Brown – co-founder of Future Media, commenting on Future Media acquisition of Oak & Jackal, said: “With our established network of celebrity influencers and corporate clients, we’ll be able to put Oak & Jackal timepieces in front of the right eyes and on the proper wrists. This acquisition is right up our alley and right on time.”
