Divi’s Laboratories taps Juniper Networks for automated network infrastructure

Divi’s Laboratories, an India-based active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) company, has deployed Juniper Networks’ solutions across its manufacturing operations.

The Juniper-powered network solutions anticipate to improve Divi’s Laboratories’ operational efficiencies and enhancing the workforce’s network experiences.

The Hyderabad-headquartered Divi’s Laboratories manufactures and custom synthesizes APIs for products used in more than 95 countries including antihistamines, antidepressants, and blood pressure medicine.

In addition, the pharma company’s nutraceutical division produces vitamins, and beta-carotenes for supplements, food, and beverages.

Divi’s Laboratories currently has a couple of production facilities, with a gross total of 14,500sqm of manufacturing space spread across more than 64 buildings in the two sites.

Manoranjan Jasti — Divi’s Laboratories Chief Information Officer said: “With our manufacturing operations running 24/7, network services are mission-critical with any disruptions having the potential to cause significantly negative impact on production.

“This has in-turn allowed us to focus on supporting our production, research, development, and quality control operations – all crucial towards delivering our world-class APIs for critical pharma products utilized across the world.”

The new network solutions are expected to help Divi’s Laboratories securely transfer data at a line rate between its two plants without any packet loss and to meet the company’s sustainability goals through reduced power consumption.

The data center leverages Juniper Networks gear for formula management, production scheduling, quality control, and batch and compliance tracking.

The Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and PoE+ networks witches are expected to help Divi’s Laboratories strengthen its wireless infrastructure, organizational-wide network visibility, onboarding process, and manageability.

Juniper Networks Virtual Chassis technology also enables Divi’s Laboratories’ IT teams to easily configure, manage, and upgrade multiple EX switches.
