Wipro wins 5-yr IT transformation contract from Telefónica Germany / O2

Wipro has bagged a five-year contract from , a provider of mobile telecommunications, broadband, and landline in Germany, to help execute a radical (RAITT) program.

Under the contract, Wipro will work with Telefónica Germany / O2 and its larger ecosystem for the transformation of its business support systems and related quality assurance to help in superior customer experience and expansion in the B2B market segment.

The RAITT program is said to bring Wipro and Telefónica Germany / O2 together to facilitate risk-mitigated self-funded transformation that will benefit both the firms.

It will ensure that Telefónica Germany / O2 is well placed to modernize and roll out a range of new offerings, which include 5G products and services.

– Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO) of Telefónica Germany / O2 said: “We are pleased to partner with Wipro and benefit from its global experience. Our IT transformation project is a key milestone which will enable us to increase the reliability of our systems, improve customer satisfaction and accelerate innovation as we move towards achieving our goals for B2B customers and common services.”

Wipro said that as 5G networks and new IoT connectivity solutions begin to be introduced, the RAITT program will give an essential base for the new services and also enable new approaches of work at a considerably lower cost of ownership to Telefónica Germany / O2.

The Indian IT services company will also invest in developing a digital business support platform for powering Telefónica Germany’s growth apart from giving the company with an outcome-based, committed plan.
