Wipro elevates Jasjit Singh Kang as digital operations and platforms head

Wipro has appointed as the new head of digital operations and platforms (DOP) division of the company’s integrated cloud infrastructure, digital operations, risk and enterprise services (iCORE) business.

Jasjit Singh Kang joined through the company’s acquisition of Alight in 2018. He is said to have played a key role in integrating the business and steering the Asia Pacific operations.

With more than 28 years of experience in technology and business leadership, Jasjit Singh Kang will provide his expertise in operations management, business development, technology-based innovation, and relationship management in his new role, said Wipro.

In the role of Senior Vice President and Head, he will concentrate on bringing in excellence in delivery operations and business growth, said the Indian IT services provider.

Prior to joining Wipro, Jasjit Singh Kang worked for seven years in the banking sector with Citibank, Bank of America, as well as ANZ Grindlays. He has had a stint in the business process management industry with companies such as Genpact, Aon, and WNS.

Jasjit Singh Kang will work under , who is the Managing Partner of Wipro iCORE.

Earlier this week, Wipro had won a five-year contract worth over $150 million from ABB to drive transformation for its Information Systems digital workplace services.
