WardWizard Innovations and Mobility, the owner of the Joy e-Bike, said that it had registered sales of 479 electric two-wheelers (EV two-wheelers) in the month of May 2021.
The Indian electric vehicle manufacturer said that sales in the month were affected by multiple lockdowns across states because of the Covid-19 second wave. It said that many customers had deferred their purchase decisions.
WardWizard Innovations and Mobility, which is based in Vadodara, said that it had secured booking orders for over 2,100 units in May 2021, which was underpinned by high demand for low-speed electric two-wheelers.
Yatin Gupte – Chairman and Managing Director of WardWizard Innovations and Mobility said: “The Company is closely monitoring the ground situation and, while strictly adhering to local guidelines, cautiously undertaking steps to resume operations.
“The utmost precautions are in place at all touchpoints since the top priority remains the safety of our staff and customers. Meanwhile, we have already received bookings for more than 2100 units.
“As the fuel prices have remained stagnant on the higher side, we are confident that demand for electric two-wheelers will keep gathering robust momentum month-on-month.”
The portfolio of electric two-wheelers developed by WardWizard Innovations and Mobility include Joy e-Bike Hurricane, Joy e-Bike Beast, Joy e-Bike E-Monster, Joy e-Bike Skyline, Joy e-Bike Thunderbolt, Joy e-Bike Wolf, Joy e-Bike Glob, and Gen Next Nanu E-Scooter.
