VVIP Infratech grabs massive Rs 188cr tenders in Uttarakhand – game-changing projects ahead

VVIP Infratech Limited has been awarded two major tenders in Uttarakhand, cumulatively valued at Rs 188.29 crores. The company will undertake electrical distribution infrastructure work and the construction of a sewage treatment plant, positioning it for substantial growth in the state’s infrastructure development.

Rs 155 crore electrical infrastructure upgrade project

VVIP Infratech secured a tender from Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited worth Rs 155.79 crores. This project, centred on Roorkee’s Electrical Distribution Circle, will focus on reducing energy transmission loss. The project will involve designing, manufacturing, testing, and installing the necessary components to upgrade the electrical network. The scope includes replacing traditional cables with more efficient Aerial Bunched Cables and modern transformers to minimise losses.

The initiative is funded by the Government of India under the Revamped Reforms-Based and Results-Linked Distribution Sector Scheme. This scheme is part of a broader effort to modernise India’s energy infrastructure. The project, set to last for 24 months, is expected to significantly improve the reliability and efficiency of the electricity distribution network in Roorkee, Uttarakhand.

Rs 32 crore sewage treatment plant project

Additionally, VVIP Infratech won a Rs 32.49 crore contract from Uttarakhand Peyjal Nigam to build a sewage treatment plant (STP) and sewer line in Narendra Nagar, Tehri Garhwal district. The work includes the construction of the STP and its associated sewer line, with a project duration of 18 months, followed by a 15-year operation and maintenance period.

This project falls under the Special Programme Assistance (SPA) of the Government of Uttarakhand. Its aim is to develop an efficient sewage treatment infrastructure that will serve the residents of Narendra Nagar and ensure proper waste management. The plant’s construction is part of ongoing efforts to improve environmental standards and hygiene in the region.

VVIP Infratech poised for growth
