Vortex Companies acquires Premier Pipe USA, expands trenchless technology portfolio

Vortex Companies, a prominent provider of advanced trenchless water and sewer technologies, has announced the acquisition of Premier Pipe USA, a well-established provider of high-performance cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) products based in Troy, Ohio. This acquisition aims to bolster Vortex’s product offerings and service capabilities, enhancing its competitive edge in the infrastructure renewal sector.

Mike Vellano, CEO of Vortex Companies, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “We’re excited to have Premier Pipe on board. They have an excellent reputation and are known for the high level of support they deliver to their licensees. Being backed by Vortex, Premier Pipe can now significantly expand its service and product offerings, putting its customers in a position to be even more competitive in the market.”

Premier Pipe USA, founded in 1997 by James “Jim” Mortell, has distinguished itself by providing a comprehensive support system for installation contractors. Mortell identified a gap in the way CIPP pipes were delivered and addressed it by offering a turnkey solution that included products, design, technical, and field support. Over the years, Premier Pipe has overseen the installation of more than 30 million feet of CIPP liner across the United States.

Vortex Companies is known for offering diverse technology platforms in the trenchless industry, including manhole and pipe rehabilitation materials, polymeric coatings and resins, sewer robot systems, and high-speed drain cleaning tools. The acquisition of Premier Pipe is expected to further solidify Vortex’s position as a leading provider of cost-effective trenchless infrastructure renewal solutions on a global scale.

With a legacy of over 30 years in the industry, Premier Pipe has built a strong reputation for excellence, supporting its installers with top-tier products, service, and technical expertise.
