Vivo to open 250 more smartphone stores across India

Vivo, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, intends to open more than 250 exclusive stores in India this year.

The Chinese smartphone company has launched a new experiential flagship store in Thane, Maharashtra, and has announced plans to open 20 more such stores in Indian metros and state capitals.

The new Vivo Thane store, which is spread over 1800 square feet, will feature three different zones – Accessory and the Internet of things (IoT), Gaming and virtual reality (VR) and Photo.

The Accessory and IoT Zone will sell the accessories and smart devices of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. On the other hand, the Gaming Zone comprises the ‘Ultra Game Mode’, which is designed to enable users to personally customize each individual game.

The VR and Photo Zone is the place where the artificial intelligence and photography features of Vivo devices are displayed for customers.

Vivo is eventually looking to create a network of 600 stores in 2020.

Nipun Marya – Vivo India brand strategy director said: “Keeping customer centricity at the core, we at Vivo strive to offer our customers unique retail experiences.

“The offline channel has been an essential part of our go-to-market strategy, and we shall continue to invest in this channel. We intend to launch more than 250 exclusive stores in 2020, taking the total number to 600.”

As part of the store’s promotional strategy, Vivo is offering 10% assured cashback on all bank debit cards, credit cards, and EMI on the purchase of all phones having a cost of more than Rs10,000 until 29 February 2020.
