Village Food Courts to bring fast-casual brands Capriotti’s and Wing Zone to India
Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and Wing Zone have entered into a 50-unit Master Franchise agreement with Village Food Courts (VFC), a Village Groupe company, to increase the brand’s presence in India.
As part of the agreement, Village Food Courts will introduce both brands within its food court venues and select delivery kitchens throughout India over the next five years.
Suraj Arora — Village Food Courts Managing Partner said: “Capriotti’s and Wing Zone fit perfectly into our growing portfolio of premium food concepts and with our aggressive development plans, we plan to scale quickly to offer Indian consumers authentic hand-crafted sandwiches and chicken wings.”
Wing Zone will increase its international footprint from its present 30 non-US locations following the deal, which also marks the first overseas agreement for Capriotti’s.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, which was founded in 1976, is a franchised restaurant chain offering slow-roasting whole, all-natural turkeys in-house every day.
Launched in 1993, Wing Zone is an international fast-casual restaurant franchise serving cooked-to-order, flavor-fused chicken wings, and tenders.
Capriotti’s anticipates spreading to more than 500 locations by the year 2025 while Wing Zone aims to increase the number of its profitable restaurants to 200 by 2025.
Village Food Courts’ consumer features include a virtual reality arcade, on-site bakery, cold press juices and spices, regional delicacies and sweets, top QSR brands offering coffee, burgers, pizza, ice cream, on-site fresh meats, honey studio, a round-the-clock convenience store and a weekly farmers market.
