Vestas secures 221MW order for North Kyle wind park in Scotland

Vestas, a Danish wind turbine manufacturer, has received a firm order for the North Kyle wind park in East Ayrshire, Scotland.

The order, placed by North Kyle Wind Farm Limited, a subsidiary of Brockwell Energy Limited, encompasses a total capacity of 221MW.

The order includes 49 V136-4.5 MW wind turbines and covers the complete scope of supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines. Once the project is finalized, Vestas will also provide long-term servicing through a 30-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. This comprehensive agreement is designed to optimize the performance and productivity of the assets of the North Kyle wind park.

The delivery of the turbines is set to commence in the second quarter of 2024, with commissioning expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025. The North Kyle wind park will significantly contribute to Scotland’s renewable energy goals and help meet the growing demand for clean, sustainable power in the region.
