Velinga Wind Project : Vestas secures turbine order from Vattenfall Vindkraft

Vestas has announced a firm order received from Vattenfall Vindkraft AB, a part of the Vattenfall AB group, to supply wind turbines for the 67 MW Velinga wind project in Sweden. This partnership underscores a significant stride in expanding clean energy production in the region.

Project Specifications and Turbine Technology

The order for the Velinga wind project comprises twelve V150-6.0 MW wind turbines, which will be operated in a 5.6 MW mode. Vestas is responsible for the supply, delivery, and commissioning of these state-of-the-art turbines. Additionally, Vestas will ensure optimized performance through a long-term Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.

Velinga Wind Project Location and Timeline

The Velinga wind project is situated in Tidaholm municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. Turbine delivery is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2025, with the commissioning of the project expected to be completed in the latter half of the same year.
