US makes power move in Syria – Iran’s IRGC gets rude awakening!
In a stunning turn of events, the US military, under the orders of the Pentagon, unleashed a barrage, striking two crucial facilities in eastern Syria. These facilities, according to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, are linked to none other than Iran’s notorious Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and their affiliated groups. And what prompted this sudden move? “The precision self-defense strikes are a direct answer to a barrage of mostly unsuccessful attacks on US personnel in both Iraq and Syria,” Austin revealed. These attacks, initiated by Iranian-backed militia groups, have been ongoing since October 17.
The Toll: Casualties and Injuries
Amidst the intense combat, there was an unfortunate casualty. A US citizen contractor tragically passed away due to a cardiac incident during the fierce retaliation. But that’s not all. A total of 21 US military heroes suffered injuries. Thankfully, as Austin was quick to point out, all these injuries were minor, and every single one of these brave souls is back on duty.
President Biden’s Stern Warning to Iran
Earlier that same Thursday, President Joe Biden had stern words for Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Biden made it crystal clear: attacks on US troops will not be tolerated. “There was a direct message relayed,” said US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby. However, he remained tight-lipped about how this critical message was delivered to Iran.
In the aftermath of these events, Austin was keen to emphasize one critical point: the US strikes in Syria and the ongoing clash between Israel and Hamas members in Gaza are entirely unrelated. “These strikes in Syria were only about defending US personnel,” Austin asserted. “This does not reflect any shift in our stance regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict.”
