UCAL Limited and Blaer Motors forge alliance for advanced motor controller development

Ucal Limited, a renowned automotive component manufacturer, has entered into a strategic partnership with Blaer Motors Private Limited, a Chennai-based startup recognized for its cutting-edge hybrid drivetrain solutions. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), is set to drive innovation in the design and development of motor controllers ranging from 500 watts to 2 kilowatts, catering to the needs of Ucal Limited’s diverse customer base.

The partnership aims to combine Ucal Limited’s extensive manufacturing capabilities and market reach with Blaer Motors’ technological expertise in hybrid drivetrain systems. Blaer Motors, founded in 2014, has established itself as a leader in intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions, backed by over eight years of relentless research and development. The company holds more than five technology patents, particularly in hybrid drivetrains, and its solutions are noted for their simplicity, efficiency, and adaptability across various platforms.

Blaer Motors’ flagship technologies, including the Blaer Intelligent Control System (BICS), will play a pivotal role in this collaboration. BICS is an AI-enabled control system that optimizes vehicle performance through real-time analysis and adjustments, enhancing both safety and efficiency. This technology, along with Blaer’s patented hybrid systems—SPA (Secondary Power Assist) and SHPA (Synchronized Hybrid Power Assist)—offers a comprehensive approach to improving fuel efficiency, reducing emissions, and meeting the growing demands of the automotive industry.

The MoU was signed in the presence of key executives from both companies, including Mr. Ram Ramamurthy, Whole Time Director of Ucal Limited, and Mr. Abinesh Ekambaram, Co-Founder & CEO of Blaer Motors.
