In a strategic move to better serve the growing self-storage demands of Ramsey County, U-Haul has recently acquired and started operating the former Able Mini Storage property, now rebranded as U-Haul Storage of Maplewood. Located at 1810 Gervais Court, this addition marks the third U-Haul-owned facility in the area, emphasizing the company’s commitment to expanding its local footprint.

The newly acquired facility sprawls across 1.84 acres and offers 262 drive-up self-storage units. It operates under the management of the nearby U-Haul Moving & Storage of Maplewood, ensuring cohesive and efficient service delivery. The facility is renowned for its competitive pricing and is fully operational with accessibility seven days a week, facilitating convenience for both new and existing customers.

Christopher Bohlman, President of U-Haul Company of Southern Minnesota, expressed his enthusiasm about the expansion: “Both of our full-service stores in Maplewood are often at self-storage capacity, so we are thrilled to have a third facility to accommodate demand. Because this site was already a self-storage property, it makes for an easy transition.”

In addition to enhancing storage services, U-Haul plans to boost local employment by hiring several new team members to support the remote facility.
