Twitter acquires email newsletter startup Revue

Microblogging platform Twitter has acquired Revue, an email newsletter startup, for an undisclosed price.

Revue enables people to start and publish editorial newsletters without any charges.

Twitter said that Revue will speed up its work to help people get information related to their interests while offering all types of writers an opportunity to monetize their audience.

The microblogging platform has made Revue’s Pro features free for all accounts and has reduced the paid newsletter fee to 5% so that writers get to keep more of the revenue earned from subscriptions.

Twitter said that it plans to continue to invest in the email newsletter startup as an independent service. Revue’s team will stay focused on enhancing the ways writers prepare their newsletters, grow their audience, and get money for their work.
