TVS Motor Company has rolled out 100,000 units of BMW Motorrad’s 310cc series of motorcycles from its Hosur facility in Karnataka.
The Indian manufacturer of two-wheelers and three wheelers had signed a cooperation agreement with BMW Motorrad in 2013 to develop and manufacture sub-500cc motorcycles for the international market.
The partnership had brought three new products to the market that are based on the 310cc platform, which includes the BMW G 310 R, BMW 310 GS, as well as TVS Motor Company’s TVS Apache RR 310. The three models are produced by the Hosur facility.
Exports of the BMW G 310 R and BMW 310 GS motorcycles had started in late 2016.

TVS Motor Company’s Hosur manufacturing plant produces about 10% of the BMW Motorrad’s global volumes. BMW Motorrad’s BMW G 310 R and BMW 310 GS are currently available in 120 countries.
