T&T Supermarket to open new store in Hazeldean Mall to expand Ottawa presence
T&T Supermarket has officially announced the launch of its new store in Ottawa’s Hazeldean Mall in 2024 winter. The expansion comes following the surge in demand for the supermarket’s fresh and exciting food experiences and high online orders from the area, as stated by Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarket.
Kanata, known for its growing community and influx of talent from all over the country, has eagerly awaited the supermarket’s arrival. Jimmy Wen, T&T Supermarket District Manager, affirmed the community’s anticipation, stating, “Kanata is a growing community, with talent coming from all over the country – this new store is going to be a great experience for them.”
The store’s arrival is part of Regional Group’s efforts to rejuvenate Hazeldean Mall and promote local community growth. The Group’s ongoing investment and vision for Hazeldean Mall began with the acquisition of the property in 2019. T&T Supermarket, along with Goodlife, as new anchor tenants in a combined 100,000 square feet space, reflect the group’s dedication to the mall and the surrounding area.
Sender Gordon, President & CEO of Regional Group, celebrated the T&T Supermarket’s new Ottawa location, seeing it as a significant step in transforming Hazeldean Mall into a vibrant destination. Todd Beech, Director of Leasing at Regional Group, also echoed the sentiments, stating, “Not only will this highly anticipated addition cater to the diverse needs of the community, but it will also drive increased foot traffic to the mall, leading to new opportunities for new and current retailers to thrive.”
Kanata South Councillor Allan Hubley welcomed T&T Supermarket’s presence and expressed gratitude to the Regional Group and Hazeldean Mall for investing in the community. The new store will anchor the Hazeldean Mall, aiming to provide a one-stop shopping experience for Canadians, featuring T&T Supermarket’s wide range of Asian snacks, gifts, produce, seafood, bakery items, and self-serve hot meal options.
