In a strategic move to bolster its commercial order-to-cash management solutions, Trivest Partners has announced the acquisition of ABC-Amega. Founded in 1929 and headquartered in Buffalo, New York, ABC-Amega stands as one of the oldest and most revered B2B accounts receivable management and credit service providers in the US. This acquisition augments the capabilities of BII Services Corp, a Trivest Partners-established holding company set on pioneering in the commercial order-to-cash management solutions domain.
Known for its cutting-edge proprietary technology and global operational experience spanning decades, ABC-Amega will continue to function autonomously. Key leadership roles remain unchanged, with Paul Catalano at the helm as President and Robert States as Chief Financial Officer. However, ABC-Amega’s CEO, David Herer, will be handing over daily responsibilities to John Fisher, BII’s CEO, and will further guide the organization from the strategic advisory board of BII.
Reflecting on the acquisition, David Herer expressed his initial attraction to Trivest Partners’ vision, which echoed ABC-Amega’s core values and aspirations. He elaborated on Trivest’s alignment with ABC-Amega’s goal to emerge as the foremost US-based provider in the commercial collection industry. Herer’s conviction in this partnership’s potential solidified post the transaction’s completion.
BII Services’ CEO, John Fisher, conveyed his enthusiasm about the deal. Highlighting ABC-Amega’s stellar industry reputation, Fisher emphasized the company’s rich legacy in international collections. With BII’s global presence spanning Latin America, Europe, South Africa, and Asia, this acquisition promises an enhanced service portfolio for ABC’s clientele, including state-of-the-art digital transformation tools, artificial intelligence/machine learning integrations, offshore first-party collections, and comprehensive order-to-cash outsourcing. Fisher remains optimistic about the unparalleled value the combined leadership can deliver to their global customer base.
