Trident Group announces Rs 3,000cr investment in Madhya Pradesh textile sector

Trident Group Chairman Rajinder Gupta reaffirmed the company’s commitment to economic growth and employment during the Invest Madhya Pradesh: Regional Industry Conclave in Narmadapuram. The event, which also saw participation from Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, underscored the state’s growing potential as a hub for sustainable industrial development.

Shri Gupta highlighted Trident Group’s significant contributions to Madhya Pradesh’s economy, referencing their initial ₹5,000 crore investment in the region. He shared that products manufactured by Trident in Madhya Pradesh are now exported to 122 countries, with demand steadily increasing. Looking to the future, he announced plans for an additional ₹3,000 crore investment in the textile sector. This new phase of development aims to increase employment opportunities at Trident Group from 12,000 to over 15,000, while also reserving 50% of the new roles for women.

The Trident Group Chairman attributed the company’s success to Madhya Pradesh’s unique strengths, including its focus on sustainability, inclusive growth, and renewable energy. Shri Gupta further emphasized the importance of skill development programs and women empowerment initiatives, which form a core part of the company’s expansion strategy.

In his address, Shri Gupta lauded the Madhya Pradesh government for its pro-business policies and visionary leadership. He noted that the Chief Minister’s collaborative approach, which brings together industrialists and intellectuals, has invigorated innovation and regional development. This vision, he said, positions the state as an attractive destination for global investors and a model for sustainable growth in India.
