Trapped and forgotten: Radhika Apte reveals terrifying airport experience
In a shocking revelation that has sent ripples across the aviation industry, Bollywood actor Radhika Apte shared a harrowing account of being locked inside an aerobridge at an unnamed airport. The incident, which took place on Saturday, saw Apte and other passengers, including small babies and elderly people, trapped for hours due to a flight delay, highlighting a serious lapse in airline customer service.
Radhika Apte’s Airport Nightmare
The ‘Sacred Games’ star took to Instagram to narrate the ordeal, sharing photos and videos of passengers stuck behind a locked glass door, desperately talking to security staff. “Today morning I had a flight at 8:30. It’s 10:50 now and the flight has still not boarded. BUT the flight said we were boarding and put all the passengers in the aerobridge and LOCKED IT,” Apte revealed, exposing the negligence of the airline staff.
Passengers Locked in Without Basic Amenities
Adding to the chaos, Apte described the distressing situation where passengers were confined without access to water or restrooms. “Now I’m locked inside. AND they just told us that we will be here till minimum 12 pm. all locked in. No water no loo. Thanks for the fun ride,” she wrote, her words dripping with sarcasm and frustration.
Airline’s Inadequate Response to the Situation
The actor further explained that the delay was caused by a crew change, and the new staff had not yet arrived. This lack of coordination and poor communication by the airline exacerbated the already tense situation. Apte’s encounter with the airline staff outside the aerobridge was equally disappointing, as she described them as “very stupid” and dismissive of the delay and the issues it caused.
