Mumbai-Jaipur Express turns into nightmare as RPF constable unleashes havoc
In a shocking and gruesome incident that has sent waves of horror throughout the country, three passengers and a Railway Protection Force (RPF) ASI were brutally gunned down by a rogue RPF constable aboard the Mumbai-Jaipur Express train near Palghar Station on Monday, July 31. In the chilling early hours of the day, around 5:20 am, terror was unleashed inside the B5 passenger coach of the Mumbai-Jaipur Express Train (12956) when the accused, RPF Constable Chetan, started his bloody rampage. After committing the heinous act, he then made an audacious escape attempt, jumping from the moving train near Dahisar Station in a futile effort to escape justice.
Western Railways confirmed that the accused constable has been apprehended along with the murder weapon. It was reported that the shooting incident, which took four lives, unfolded alarmingly fast, occurring between Vapi to Borivali to Mira Road stations. The harrowing incident, which has shocked both passengers and the public alike, will undoubtedly cast a grim shadow over Indian Railways and raises severe questions about safety and security in the country’s rail system.
