Torrent Power to build 300MW wind farm in Karnataka

Torrent Power has been issued a letter of award from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for executing a 300MW wind farm in Karnataka, which will involve an investment of INR 2,600 crores.

The award was won through a competitive bidding process.

According to Torrent Power, the Karnataka wind farm is expected to be commissioned within 24 months from the signing of the 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) made with SECI.

The PPA tariff of the Torrent Power wind farm in Karnataka is INR 2.94 per kWh.

Torrent Power to build 300MW wind farm in Karnataka

Following the new project win, Torrent Power has taken its wind development pipeline to 415MW. The Indian energy and power company has an operational wind capacity of 804.5MW.
