Top North Georgia eye clinics merge to form North Georgia Eye Associates
Gainesville Eye Associates and North Georgia Eye Clinic, two of the major ophthalmology practices in North Georgia, have combined their operations to form North Georgia Eye Associates.
With a shared legacy of over 100 years in providing exceptional eye care services, ranging from preventative care to surgical repair and cosmetic procedures, this alliance marks a significant milestone in the region’s healthcare sector.
“We are excited to announce this merger, as it represents a significant milestone for both practices and the communities we serve,” said Dr Jack Chapman, Managing Partner and Ophthalmologist at Gainesville Eye Associates. “By combining our strengths and resources, we will be able to offer an even higher level of care, advanced technologies, and a wider range of specialized services to our patients.”
The two practices, renowned for their clinical expertise across Georgia, bring together their unique accolades. Gainesville Eye Associates introduced the first bladeless laser cataract surgery in Northeast Georgia. In contrast, North Georgia Eye Clinic earned recognition from Newsweek as one of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers in 2022. The merger also signifies improved accessibility for patients, including a state-of-the-art surgery center at their Beverly Road facility (2061 Beverly Rd, Gainesville).
Dr Matthew Kaufman, Managing Partner and Ophthalmologist at North Georgia Eye Clinic, added, “This merger allows us to further our commitment to exceptional patient care by leveraging the collective knowledge and expertise of our talented team. We are confident that our unified practice will set a new standard for ophthalmology in North Georgia.”
Under the new name, North Georgia Eye Associates will continue to provide services at their existing locations, ensuring a seamless transition for patients with no disruption to current appointments or treatment plans. This strategic alliance cements their position as leaders in ophthalmology throughout the North Georgia region.
