Titagarh Rail Systems bags Rs 857cr contract for Surat Metro Rail

Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd (TRSL), formerly known as Titagarh Wagons Limited, has secured a significant contract for the Design, Manufacture, Supply, Testing, Commissioning, and Training of 72 standard gauge cars for the Surat Metro Rail Phase I Project. The contract, valued at approximately INR 857 crores, signifies a substantial leap for the company in the rail systems industry.

The contract execution is scheduled to kick off 76 weeks after the formal signing, with completion anticipated within 132 weeks thereafter. The Surat Metro Rail Project is a massive undertaking, encompassing two corridors spanning a total of 40.45 kilometers, featuring 38 stations, and boasting an estimated cost of INR 12,020 crores.
