Thomas Cook (India) Limited, a leading omnichannel travel services company, has unveiled a new franchise outlet in Chennai’s Parry’s Corner, marking a significant expansion in the company’s retail presence. This new outlet increases Thomas Cook India’s network to eight locations within Chennai and fourteen across Tamil Nadu. Strategically situated near key landmarks including the Tamil Nadu High Court, Chennai Central railway station, and major banking institutions, the outlet is poised to serve a diverse clientele from business professionals to families and millennials.

The new Chennai outlet is designed to enhance accessibility and convenience for its customers. It will offer a comprehensive range of travel services, including international and domestic holidays, group tours, personalized holiday packages, and cruises. Additionally, the outlet will provide value-added services such as travel insurance, addressing the growing needs of Chennai’s travelers.

In response to evolving travel trends from Chennai, the outlet’s launch aligns with a notable increase in trip durations, with short trips extending from 3 days to 5-8 days and longer trips extending from 5 days to 10-15 days. There is also a rising interest in experiential travel, with destinations like Finland for northern light tours and Sri Lanka for whale watching gaining popularity.

Emerging travel destinations now include Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea, while top international destinations for Chennai travelers feature Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, France, Finland, Spain-Portugal, Czech Republic-Hungary, Australia, the USA, and Kenya. Domestically, popular destinations include Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, the Andaman Islands, and North-East India. Pilgrimage tourism remains strong, with demand for destinations such as Char Dham, Kashi, Ayodhya, Rameswaram, Tirupati, Amritsar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Dwarka, and Sri Lanka’s Ramayan Anant Yatra and Ramayan Trail.
