Thermax, a prominent leader in energy and environmental solutions, has inaugurated a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Pune, designed to enhance water and wastewater treatment technologies. This facility is set on two acres and showcases Thermax’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer focus. It marks a significant step in Thermax’s mission to conserve resources and preserve the future.
The newly opened facility integrates advanced production techniques and high levels of automation to improve production efficiency and minimize waste. The plant’s design allows for scalability, potentially doubling its current capacity to keep up with future demands. It will produce a variety of systems including Reverse Osmosis (RO), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Recycling Systems (ERS), and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) solutions, along with newer technologies such as softener and filter vessels, tubular membrane modules, and Capacitive Deionisation (CDI).
Nearly 1,000 vendors from Maharashtra and across the country will support the Pune facility, ensuring a robust supply chain. The factory is entirely powered by solar energy and features extensive rainwater harvesting systems, aligning with Thermax’s sustainability goals. It also complies with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) regulations, emphasizing Thermax’s dedication to green solutions.
During the inauguration, Ashish Bhandari, Managing Director and CEO of Thermax, expressed, “At Thermax, we are making significant strides towards becoming a trusted partner in energy transition and advancing environmental stewardship. The inauguration event was attended by industry experts, customers, and stakeholders. Thermax’s new facility is expected to serve various sectors, including industrial, commercial, municipal, and residential applications, enhancing water quality and contributing to environmental sustainability.
