Tellurian and Baker Hughes ink deal for Driftwood LNG Project

Tellurian Inc. (NYSE American: TELL) and (NASDAQ: BKR) have announced a pivotal agreement to supply key equipment for Phase 1 of the Driftwood LNG project. The deal includes the delivery of eight main refrigerant compression packages, featuring LM6000PF+ gas turbines, main refrigerant compressors, and control units. This significant partnership strengthens Driftwood’s ability to kick-start initial liquefied (LNG) production by 2027.

Baker Hughes to Complete Zero-Emissions Equipment by Next Year

In addition to the refrigerant compression packages, Baker Hughes is set to complete the fabrication of electric-powered, zero-emissions Integrated Compressor Line (ICL) packages and other turbomachinery equipment by early next year. This is part of Baker Hughes’ commitment following an award in 2022 for the Driftwood Pipeline 200 project.

CEOs Highlight Long-Term Partnership and Industry-Leading Technology

Tellurian President and CEO Octávio Simões emphasized the importance of this agreement, stating, “This partnership with Baker Hughes solidifies our plans for the critical technology needed for Driftwood Phase 1.” , Chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes, also praised the long-term relationship between the two companies. He said, “We’re leveraging our 30 years of experience in LNG to support Tellurian in the Driftwood liquefaction plant with our gas technology solutions.”

Driftwood LNG Project Targets 2027 for Initial LNG Production
