Teledyne FLIR partners with Kongsberg for $31m C-UAS deal to aid Ukraine

Teledyne FLIR Defense, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), has inked a contract worth approximately $31 million with Norway’s Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. This deal is to supply its Cerberus XL mobile counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) to Ukraine as part of a comprehensive C-UAS solution. The contract includes not only the delivery of the Cerberus XL platforms but also associated software, spares, support, and training.

International Fund for Ukraine Backs Kongsberg’s C-UAS Solutions

Kongsberg recently entered an agreement with the International Fund for Ukraine (IFU), a fund initiated by the UK and international partners to expedite the delivery of critical capabilities to Ukraine. The Cerberus XL systems, provided by Teledyne FLIR, will be part of counter-drone solutions donated to Ukraine via contributions to the IFU from various countries, including Norway and the UK.

The Cerberus XL is an advanced mobile C-UAS that combines thermal and visual imaging systems with highly sensitive radar sensors. This mobile platform allows for the quick identification and tracking of UAS targets.
