Techknowgreen Solutions Limited, a leading environmental consulting firm in India, has announced its latest project: the evaluation of air quality in various indoor environments across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). This initiative, focusing on Non-Attainment Areas and critically impacted regions, signifies a major step forward in enhancing Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and formulating best practices for a healthier indoor environment. With a contract period of 15 months from the date of the Letter of Acceptance (LOA), this project aims to address the significant human exposure potential to air pollution indoors and devise strategies to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
The project will assess air quality status in selected indoor micro-environments, including schools, cinema halls, restaurants, shopping malls, offices, residential units, and public transportation, identifying major pollution sources and assessing health risks due to exposure. The study will also involve elemental receptor modeling for health risk assessment and evaluate interventions to formulate best practices for breathable air quality, planning a longitudinal study to better understand the dynamics between IAQ and health.
Dr. Ajay Ojha, Managing Director of Techknowgreen Solutions Limited, expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We are truly excited about our recent project, which involves assessing the indoor air quality across MMR, focusing specifically on Non-Attainment Areas and critically/severely impacted regions potentially representative of our State. The project also includes formulating best practices to enhance Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), and it comes with a substantial value of ₹98.10 million.” This project marks a significant achievement for Techknowgreen, demonstrating its commitment to environmental responsibility and its role as a leader in the environmental consulting sector.

In the fiscal year 2023-2024, our company has garnered work orders amounting to ₹430.44 Mn.” The project underscores the government of Maharashtra’s dedication to leading in Air Quality Management and showcases Techknowgreen’s pivotal role in driving sustainable expansion through new sectors of air quality research.
