Tech Mahindra to bear vaccination cost for employees globally

Indian IT services provider Tech Mahindra said that it will bear the Covid-19 vaccination cost for all its employees across the world.

The company said that the initiative is aimed towards the safety and well-being of its more than 121,900 employees across 90 countries from the emerging second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

Tech Mahindra has appealed to all its associates in India to register themselves for vaccination via the Indian government app – CoWIN/Aarogya Setu.

Harshvendra Soin – Global Chief People Officer and Head – Marketing at Tech Mahindra said: “I am delighted to announce that as part of our associate well-being program, we at Tech Mahindra, will reimburse the vaccine cost for all our associates globally. This is to reiterate our belief in ‘Wellness before Business’, and underscore our commitment towards our employees’ health and safety.”

Tech Mahindra said that it has also launched a comprehensive COVID-19 risk screening test called ‘Mhealthy’ for testing the presence of antibodies and for measuring all the vital health stats for Covid-19 co-morbidities.

By producing real-time reports, the Mhealthy solution makes sure that every individual stepping into the premises of Tech Mahindra is healthy, thereby making it a safe place to work.

On the business front, Tech Mahindra has signed a deal worth up to $120 million to acquire California-based hybrid cloud and DevOps services provider DigitalOnUS.
