Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said that it has been engaged by Swedish pharma retailer Apoteket for expediting its digital transformation and growth.
Apoteket, which is claimed to draw 34 million customers for its stores annually, aims to consolidate its position in the region by transforming into a full-service healthcare provider and provide services across the value chain online and in-store.
Tata Consultancy Services, which has been working with the Swedish pharma retailer since 2014, will deliver end-to-end IT services and consulting across the organization. The extended partnership will encompass the application and infrastructure layers, said the Indian IT services provider.

Furthermore, Tata Consultancy Services will help bring in innovation by making use of its co-innovation and research hub TCS Pace Port in Amsterdam, which is designed specifically for helping customers navigate their digital transformation journeys.
Besides, Tata Consultancy Services will help Apoteket leverage automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics for creating the next-generation customer experience across physical stores and online channels apart from streamlining internal processes.
