TCS to help Ericsson in digital transformation of R&D environment

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said that it will partner in helping the Swedish telecommunications company build and operate its cloud-based research and digital (R&D) digital workplace.

The Indian IT services company will help Ericsson execute its R&D environment transformation initiative for enabling secured access and automated availability of the development environment irrespective of the time and place for the latter’s R&D teams across the world.

For this, TCS will make use of its contextual knowledge of Ericsson’s R&D and IT environments along with its specialization in automation and cloud technologies for supporting the globally distributed teams with on-demand, zero-touch, and remote provisioning.

The Indian IT services provider also announced the launch of a round-the-clock command center at , , which will be powered by the TCS’ Business 4.0 thought leadership framework and its Machine First Delivery Model (MFDM) based automation.

The command center in Hyderabad will help expedite the R&D and product development environment of Ericsson. The autonomous provisioning, configuration and plans for self-healing of the development environment are said to be in line with the telecom company’s goal to give its engineers a world-class R&D environment.

Recently, TCS announced that Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS), a French investment services company, has deployed its TCS BaNCS core banking software suite.
