In a landmark advancement that redefines the construction solutions industry in India, Tata Steel, the country’s leading steel producer, has unveiled the first fully automated construction service centre in Odisha.
This automated centre is an 11-acre facility situated in Tangi, Cuttack, birthed from a collaborative partnership with Sagar Business Private Limited, a distinguished channel partner of Tata Steel.
The state-of-the-art centre, a pioneering feat by Tata Steel in Odisha, is equipped with automatic manufacturing facilities that are capable of producing up to 3000 TPM of customised Cut & Bend rebars, Coupler threading, and Welded Wire Mesh. With this new venture, Tata Steel has demonstrated its commitment to innovation and excellence by extending its operations beyond traditional steel production, positioning itself as a comprehensive solution provider in the construction domain.
Ashish Anupam, Chairperson, Marketing & Sales, Long Products, Tata Steel, led the inauguration of this innovative centre. The official opening was followed by a customer meet in Bhubaneswar, attended by approximately sixty customers representing infrastructure, housing, and industrial sectors. Tata Steel executives and members of the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) community from Odisha also marked their presence at the event.
