Tata Power Solar Systems has been issued a letter of award (LoA) to construct 100MW of distributed ground mounted solar projects in Maharashtra for Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL).
The order value is INR 538 crores, while the date for commissioning the solar projects is set to be 12 months.
Energy Efficiency Services Limited is an Indian government-owned energy service company. On the other hand, Tata Power Solar Systems is a fully-owned subsidiary of Tata Power.
Tata Power Solar Systems said that its utility size EPC orders now stand at around 4GW (DC) capacity with an estimated value of around INR 9,264 crores.
The company will be responsible for engineering, design, supply, construction, erection, testing, operations and maintenance, and commissioning of the distributed ground mounted solar power projects.
Dr. Praveer Sinha — CEO and MD of Tata Power said: “We are enthused with the new contract win from EESL for Distributed Ground Mounted Solar EPC projects. This is yet another recognition of Tata Power’s strong credentials in the solar energy domain and project execution capabilities.”
Tata Power Solar has been associated with projects such as 150MW Ayana solar power plant in Ananthapur, 50MW Kasargod solar power plant in Kerala, 56MW Greenko solar power plant, and 105MW floating solar power plant in Kayamkulam.
The company had also been awarded 400MW of solar projects to be constructed at the Dholera Solar Park following an auction held by Gujarat.
Last month, Tata Power said that its subsidiary — TP Saurya Limited will set up a 250MW solar power plant at the Dondaicha Solar Park in Maharashtra.
