Tata Power said that its fully-owned subsidiary (TPSL) will build a 600MW hybrid power project in .

TP Saurya Limited has been issued a letter of award (LoA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India () in this regard for the wind and solar power project.

According to Tata Power, the hybrid power project in Karnataka was won by its subsidiary through tariff-based competitive bidding followed by an e-Reverse auction.

The wind and solar project is to be commissioned within 24 months from the execution of the power purchase agreement (PPA).

With the new project win, Tata Power has taken its total renewables capacity to 5.52GW, which includes an installed capacity of 3.63GW and 1.89GW under different stages of implementation.
