Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a pivotal player in India’s renewable energy sector, has recently announced a substantial Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with the esteemed Dr. Abhay Firodia Group of Companies, including Force Motors Limited and Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited. This 25-year agreement under the Group Captive scheme represents a major leap in promoting sustainable energy solutions, especially for industrial usage.

Under the terms of this agreement, Force Motors Limited, a fully vertically integrated automobile company, will utilize 6.2 MW AC power, amounting to an annual consumption of 13.64 Million Units (MUs). Similarly, Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited will use 7.0 MW AC power, consuming 15.40 MUs annually. This partnership is not just a business transaction; it symbolizes a significant commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices in the industrial sector.

Located in Achegaon, Maharashtra, the group captive solar plant boasts a capacity of 13.2 MW AC. This facility is set to generate 29.04 MUs of power annually, while significantly reducing carbon emissions by approximately 21,200 metric tons per year. The completion of the project is scheduled within 12 months from the signing of the PDA, showcasing the urgency and commitment of all parties involved.
