Tata Power partners with Tivolt Electric Vehicles to expand commercial EV charging infrastructure across India

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) and Tivolt Electric Vehicles Private Limited, an electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Murugappa Group’s TI Clean Mobility, have joined forces to strengthen EV charging infrastructure for commercial vehicles. This strategic collaboration aims to accelerate India’s EV revolution by leveraging Tata Power’s expertise in renewable energy integration and Tivolt’s growing fleet of electric commercial vehicles.

Expanding EV Charging Access Across India

The partnership will focus on enhancing commercial vehicle charging solutions by deploying reliable and strategically located chargers at Tivolt dealerships, customer hubs, and public locations. TPREL, known for its innovative sustainable mobility solutions, plans to empower businesses operating small electric commercial vehicles, especially those involved in last-mile deliveries and logistics.

TPREL’s growing EV charging infrastructure already includes over 200 customised stations in 100 cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. These chargers are part of its extensive EZ Charge network, which supports diverse charging needs for personal, fleet, and commercial vehicle charging across India.

Solar Integration for Renewable Energy

In line with the nation’s focus on sustainability, TPREL will integrate solar energy systems at Tivolt dealerships and select customer locations. This move aligns with Tata Power’s commitment to sustainable mobility solutions, reducing both the carbon footprint and energy costs for businesses.
