TAGS

Tata Motors reported year-on-year growth in its total sales for November 2024, with figures reaching 74,753 vehicles, slightly above the 74,172 units sold in the same period last year. The domestic market performance was a key driver, with sales rising 1% year-on-year to 73,246 units.

Passenger vehicle sales lead the charge

The passenger vehicle sales segment showed a robust year-on-year growth of 2%, delivering 47,117 units in November. This growth was bolstered by the company’s expanding electric vehicle sales, which rose by 9% year-on-year to 5,202 units. Tata Motors continues to strengthen its presence in the EV market through its subsidiary, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited.

Decline in commercial vehicle sales

While the passenger vehicle sales segment performed well, commercial vehicle sales experienced a slight dip. Total commercial vehicle sales dropped 1% year-on-year, with 27,636 units sold. Among subcategories, high-capacity vehicle (HCV) sales declined by 8%, while small cargo and pickup vehicles dropped by 5%. Notably, passenger carriers within the CV segment grew by an impressive 42%.
