Indian vehicle manufacturer Tata Motors said that its passenger vehicles will have an increase in their prices, on an average of 0.8%, based on the variant and model.
The increased prices will come into effect immediately.
Tata Motors said that it will provide protection from the price increase to vehicles which will be retailed on or before 31 August 2021.
Recently, the Indian vehicle manufacturer had announced that it has implemented a business agility plan for safeguarding and catering to the interests of its customers, suppliers, and dealers.
In May 2021, Tata Motors had spiked the prices of its passenger vehicles by an average of 1.8%, depending on the variant and model. At that time, the company’s president of the passenger vehicles business division — Shailesh Chandra said that the price increase was driven by increase in prices of commodities like steel and precious metals.
Meanwhile, Tata Motors reported that it had sold 54,119 vehicles in July 2021, compared to 27,711 vehicles during the same period of the previous year.
