Tata Elxsi and partners open robotics lab to advance healthcare automation

Tata Elxsi, a global leader in design and technology services, has joined forces with DENSO Robotics Europe and AAtek to inaugurate the ‘Robotics and Automation Innovation Lab’ in Frankfurt. This state-of-the-art facility marks a significant milestone in the advancement of robotics and automation, particularly in sectors like healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences.

The lab is designed to serve as a hub for research and development, with capabilities extending from proof-of-concept to full-scale automation solutions. It aims to simplify maintenance, enhance modular automation, and accelerate product development, addressing growing global demands for innovative robotics in medical and scientific applications. Key demonstrations at the facility include modular robotics for high-precision tasks in diagnostics, sterile environments, and advanced bioprocessing techniques.

Raghav Yesodha, Director of Healthcare & Life Sciences at Tata Elxsi, described the initiative as a blending of Japanese innovation, German precision, and Tata Elxsi’s expertise in med-tech and regulatory compliance. By collaborating with DENSO’s robotics leadership and AAtek’s integration capabilities, the lab is poised to lead advancements in healthcare automation, enabling customers to navigate the rapidly evolving market.

The lab will leverage cutting-edge AI-driven analytics to deliver innovative solutions, including automated cell culture handling, liquid dispensing, and hospital lab automation. Tata Elxsi’s healthcare and life sciences division, certified with ISO 13485, adds significant credibility to this endeavour, ensuring compliance with global standards.
