Tata Consultancy Services set to open new office in Austin, Texas
TCS Austin office : India-based Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is set to open a new facility in Austin later this month to double its workforce in the Texan city to over 400 professionals.
The IT consulting company’s new facility, which is located at 13929 Center Lake Drive, will accommodate 367 employees.
Apart from the new TCS Austin office, Tata Consultancy Services has offices in Dallas, Plano, and Houston in Texas, along with over 30 locations across the US.
In Austin, the Indian IT consulting company is said to have recruited 200 plus employees locally since 2019. New employees are carrying out a variety of digital business transformation roles in artificial intelligence, enterprise software, machine learning, and technology operations, said Tata Consultancy Services.
Commenting on the new TCS Austin office, Surya Kant – Tata Consultancy Services North America Chairman, said: “Enterprises are partnering with TCS to accelerate their innovation, enhance their operational resilience and deliver superior customer experiences. To support our business growth, we are committed to recruiting, training, and developing the best local talent, as we continue to invest in Texas and across the U.S.
“The new facility in Austin is part of our initiative to expand our local presence and drive our customers’ digital transformation journeys.”
By 2022, the company plans to recruit an additional 130 new employees across Austin. Across Texas, Tata Consultancy Services said that it will recruit 1,000 new employees and in the next seven years, it will inject over $100 million in Austin.
